As Director of Development, Frances is a leader within the LVS fundraising team who serves as the primary manager for the many grant-related initiatives and partnerships that support LVS programs. Frances strengthens the relationship between LVS and dozens of corporate and foundation grant making entities throughout South Carolina to guide values-based investment in sight saving solutions for eyecare throughout the state. She also facilitates community outreach events to increase awareness of and connection to LVS services and impact.
Before becoming Director of Development, Frances served as Program Director at LVS for two years. Prior to her work at LVS Frances spent several years in a development role with another nonprofit in the South Carolina Midlands. She brings experience with database management, event coordination, and donor and volunteer relations.
Prior to entering the nonprofit realm, Frances was a kindergarten teacher and briefly worked in early intervention. She also worked as a freelance writer, creating web content and magazine profile pieces. Frances holds a B.A. in Child & Family Studies from Columbia College and an M.Ed from the University of South Carolina.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, doing yoga, spending time with family and watching documentaries.
