Daniel leads Lions Vision Services as President and Chief Executive Officer, overseeing program service delivery in all 46 South Carolina Counties, setting and implementing the strategic vision for the organization, along with the Board, and leading the organization’s fundraising and external affairs. He is the fifth and youngest CEO in the organization’s more than 50-year history.
Daniel previously served as Director of Development for LVS beginning in February 2020, where he helped LVS navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, launch a new statewide collaborative initiative (the Palmetto Vision Alliance), and take on management of the Santee Blind Fishing Event. In his ten years as a Lions Club member, Daniel also served on the LVS Board of Directors, including as Chairman, prior to being hired as staff.
He has raised millions of dollars for organizations in Christian higher education, environmental conservation, and human services. He holds a Masters Degree in Philanthropy and Development, the Certified Fund Raising Executive certification from CFRE International, is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina, and is a South Carolina Ports Ambassador.
In addition to his work at LVS, Daniel serves on several regional boards and steering committees, is an active member and Deacon of Great Commission Baptist Church, and is a member of professional associations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, SC Planned Giving Council, Together SC, and CFRE International. He and his wife, Angel, live in Summerville and frequently visit State Parks across South Carolina.
As Executive Vice President, Winn is responsible for running all day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the organization with a focus on client services and programs. She studied Accounting at Columbia College and spent the beginning of her professional career in the Business Personal Property and Insurance industry. Passionate about people, she sought to make a career change to a field that would allow her to serve others, which eventually landed her at Lions Vision Services, originally as the Programs Coordinator, where she has worked for over a decade.
Winn’s strong interpersonal skills made her a great fit to the organization, allowing her to build meaningful relationships with the Lions of South Carolina as well as our Program Partners. The stories of our clients and how our assistance impacts their lives, drives her desire to continue to work to build our organization so that no one needlessly lives in darkness or silence.
